COLORS AND SHAPES

Choosing a career path is often daunting, especially when there is so much outside pressure to choose your path. Choosing to have a career path as a creative doesn't always elicit the best response. Oftentimes, I was insulted or belittled for my choice to become a graphic designer, told that my major was just "colors and shapes" and I wasted the money for college on a hobby. I even included those in this book! Growing into a creative and through my education, I have become confident in what a creative embodies and the impact graphic designers and visual creatives have in the world. Learning a diverse set of skills and with the help of those around me, I was inspired to create a book for young people like me, to encourage those that design is all around us. This book features different artists I went to school with, as well as a lot of my own work displayed throughout each subsection. This book works to teach what I have learned through my time at California Baptist, as well as provides opportunities for interaction.
